I'm really focused on the impact JaLisa's death has had on the community, especially with the holiday season being involved. I can only imagine how hard this time of year must be for her family. It’s been 11 years, but every December, it must bring fresh waves of grief for Michael, Janice, and JaLisa's sisters. As if the loss wasn't enough, the lack of closure must be unbearable. JaLisa’s son, Travis, would be approaching 12 now. It's difficult to think about him growing up without his mom and all the stories about her kindness and dedication that he might have heard from family and friends. I hope someday soon they get the answers they're looking for, not just for the peace of mind it would bring but also so Travis can know there was justice for his mom. I came across an old prayer vigil they held for JaLisa, and it’s clear she touched so many lives with her spirit and warmth. The same determination she had when she was alive is reflected in the strength of her family and community to seek justice. I hope this case gets the attention it needs, and maybe a fresh perspective or new witness might come forward to finally shed light on what really happened.

I was recently reading about JaLisa Michelle Scott's case and something stuck with me that I wanted to discuss. It seems that the investigation has hit several roadblocks over the years, but I can't help but wonder if the key lies within the local community itself. JaLisa was well-loved and known in Milledgeville, so it's possible that someone out there has information they might not even realize is important. I know it's been many years, and memories can fade, but sometimes all it takes is a single detail to crack a case open. Maybe someone saw a strange car or noticed someone acting oddly around the time of her death. It's these small bits of information, if shared with the authorities, that could really make a difference. Seeing the pain that JaLisa's family must continue to endure is truly difficult. To think of her young son growing up without his mom is just devastating. If anyone out there in the Milledgeville area or beyond has even a tiny piece of information, now is the time to come forward. It's never too late to help bring justice for JaLisa and provide some sense of closure for her family. We need to keep talking about her story and push for the answers that have taken way too long to emerge.
