I’ve been following the case of Angelina K. Benton and can’t help but keep thinking about Justin Cato, Angelina's boyfriend who survived the attack. It's haunting to consider the emotional and physical recovery he's had to go through after such a traumatic event. Being present during the loss of Angelina, Joseph, and Raynard must be incredibly painful beyond words. I hope he’s been able to find some support system, perhaps through friends or counseling services. Trauma can manifest in so many ways, and for him to have witnessed such a brutal crime, it's vital that he receives the care and support he needs. Does anyone know if there have been any community efforts to support survivors like Justin who are left to navigate their lives after losing loved ones in such tragic circumstances?

Has anyone else been thinking about how Angelina's deep ties to the military community might have played a role in her life leading up to this tragedy? It’s beyond sad to see someone who grew up in such a structured and disciplined environment, thanks to her parents' military service, end up in such a chaotic situation. By all accounts, she was a strong, resilient woman who likely drew on those experiences all her life. I’ve noticed a lot of folks questioning the circumstances around Bell moving into her home. Given her background, she probably saw the good in people and offered her home as a refuge, not realizing the potential danger. It makes me wonder about the kind of person she was—someone who was taught to care for others and serve a greater good. It's gut-wrenching to think about the trust she showed, only to be betrayed in the worst way possible. I can’t imagine what her family is going through, especially knowing she had roots and connections all over, from Hawaii to Georgia. Hoping they find comfort in her memory and the legacy she left behind. Thoughts with everyone affected by this senseless act.
