Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the role businesses play in situations like the tragic incident involving Adrian A. Mosley. It's awful to think that a routine meal could end in such tragedy. Waffle House's security protocols, or lack thereof, are being heavily scrutinized, and it makes you wonder—what kind of environment allows an employee to feel the need to bring a weapon to work? It breaks my heart for Adrian's family to be facing this. They deserve answers and assurance that no one else's loved one will face a similar situation.
I've read about other places having security or protocols in place for de-escalating conflicts. It seems like a necessity these days, especially in high-crime areas. On one hand, you have Martin, who clearly felt in danger and made a split-second decision. On the other hand, Mosley's family is grieving a loss that shouldn't have happened. It's such a complex situation, and the legal angle just adds to the confusion.
I'm curious to know what kind of measures could be implemented in places deemed 'hot spots' for crime. More thorough training, possibly mandatory conflict resolution courses for staff, or hiring security personnel? What do you guys think could prevent tragedies like this from happening in the future?
Thinking of Adrian’s family and hoping they get some peace and answers soon.
