I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy must have had on Daniel's gaming community. It's one thing to be a victim of a senseless crime, but the shockwaves of such a loss extend far beyond immediate family. From what I gather, Daniel was pretty active in the online gaming world, and those communities often become like second families. There must be countless friends he made from all over the world who were affected by his death. I can’t imagine how heartbreaking it must have been for them to log on and learn about what happened. Gaming can be a strong bonding experience, and losing someone from that circle, especially in such a random and violent way, must be incredibly hard. Has anyone heard if there have been any in-game memorials or online tributes organized in his memory? It would be nice to see how his virtual community came together to honor him. My thoughts go out to everyone who knew him, both in real life and online.
