Does anyone else find it absolutely unimaginable that Kayla and Andrew's lives were taken so abruptly by someone they probably trusted? I can't stop thinking about how Kayla was just a young girl attending middle school, living what should've been a carefree life in Peachtree Corners. It's such a sorrowful reminder of how fragile life is and how domestic violence can shatter families. It’s terrifying to think that there were no warning signs with Brandon McLean. I feel for the family, especially how Betty McLean and Charlotte Longnecker now have to grapple with the physical and emotional scars. I hope they have a strong support system around them. Does anyone know if there have been any local efforts or community initiatives started to better address domestic issues since this happened? It seems like there’s so much more we can do to support each other and prevent tragedies like this.
