Hey everyone, I’ve been reading through some of the discussions on Christopher Miller’s tragic case, and something that’s really been on my mind is how vital community involvement is in such investigations. I can’t help but think about how many people in Baltimore must have stories like Chris's, where a lack of witnesses might be the barrier to finding justice. The police have continuously asked for help, but I wonder how much fear of retaliation plays into the reluctance to come forward. It’s a deeply troubling situation, not just for Chris’s family, who must be going through so much pain, but also for a community that seems trapped under the weight of silence. If anyone here is from Baltimore, or knows what it’s like living in an area affected by such violent crime, would love to hear your thoughts on what might help people feel safer or more empowered to speak up.
