Hey everyone,
I've been reading about the murder of Edwin Edgar Jr. Green back in 2010 and have been trying to wrap my mind around the struggles that Baltimore has faced with violent crime. One thing that stands out to me is the difficult relationship between the community and law enforcement. I can't imagine the frustration and fear felt by Green’s family and friends, knowing that cooperation in investigations is often hindered by mistrust and fear of retribution. It's deeply concerning how this mistrust can stall justice for families like Edwin's.
I often wonder what more can be done to bridge the gap between the police and the community to hopefully prevent more lives from being senselessly lost. Edwin’s case, like many others, shines a light on the broader issues in the city and the urgent need for trust-building measures. Has anyone seen any recent initiatives that might actually make a difference in Baltimore? Let’s keep discussing and supporting ways to foster real change, for the sake of all those, like Edwin, who deserve justice.
Stay strong, Baltimore. Your community deserves better.
