It’s truly devastating to think about what Major Gregory Barney’s family has gone through. I've been looking into the details surrounding his tragic death and am struck by the courage and bravery he displayed throughout his career, especially in those final moments at the apartment complex. It’s clear from testimonies and community responses that Major Barney was not just a dedicated officer but also deeply committed to making his community a safer place. The enormous support and love from the community, especially during his funeral, truly reflect how cherished and respected he was. My heart goes out to his wife and sons. I hope they continue to find strength in each other and the community’s support. How does one even begin to cope with such a loss?
