Has anyone else been looking into how difficult it must have been for the custodian who found Alexia and Knickolus? We often discuss the main details surrounding such cases, but I can't stop thinking about what a shocking and traumatic experience that must have been for them. Imagine going through your regular workday and suddenly stumbling upon something so tragic and grievous. While the focus is, of course, on Alexia and Knickolus and the devastation their families are facing, I can't help but feel for the person who made the discovery. I hope they have received the support they need to process what they witnessed. It’s a reminder of how unintended victims in the ripple effect of tragic events can experience their own form of trauma. Anyone know if there's been any mention of counseling or support for school staff in such situations?
I've been reflecting on the discoverer of Alexia and Knickolus’s tragic end. I can't imagine what the school custodian must have gone through when they found the car. They were just going about their daily routine and stumbled upon such a heartbreaking scene. Their life must have changed that day, too. It's not often we think about the first responders or civilians who accidentally become part of these stories. They are often the unsung individuals left to cope with the aftereffects, along with families and friends. I hope they had access to the support they needed. Does anyone know if there were any resources provided for them, or how they managed to deal with such a distressing situation? I hope they're doing okay.
