I've been thinking a lot about how we can learn from the tragic passing of little Thomas William Paisie III. It's so incredibly sad to hear about a 7-year-old having such a bright future taken away, and I can't imagine the pain his family is going through. What strikes me is the issue of gun safety and awareness in the home. I truly hope this devastating accident can serve as a reminder for families to have conversations about firearm safety, especially when children are around. My heart goes out to Thomas's family, and I only hope that awareness can help prevent even a single future tragedy.
