I've been following the Alex Newton case closely, and something keeps bothering me. How did Anderson manage to roam around freely with his criminal history? It seems baffling, and honestly, a bit infuriating that someone with a rap sheet like his was out on the streets instead of serving time. It must be incredibly frustrating for Alex's family and friends, knowing that the system failed in this way. I know there are questions about how he slipped through the cracks when he had an outstanding warrant in Cobb County. Just heart-wrenching to think that this tragedy might have been prevented if those warrants were acted upon sooner. My thoughts are with Alex's loved ones as they continue to navigate this unbearable loss. I hope this case sparks some kind of change in policy so others don't have to face the same fate.
