It’s truly devastating to hear about what happened to Cierra Ford. I’ve been thinking a lot about her brother Clarence and the strength he's shown throughout this ordeal. It’s no small thing to speak publicly about such a personal loss, let alone advocate for issues like education and against gang violence amidst his grief. His courage and the way he’s turning such pain into a fight for a better future is incredibly inspiring. I can't help but be concerned about Gregory Battle still being at large. It just seems like a lingering threat not only to Cierra's family but to the broader community as well. It’s unsettling to think about what they might be going through knowing someone involved hasn’t been brought to justice yet. The police have done a commendable job so far, but I hope every resource available is being used to find him. Everyone should be able to feel safe in their own community. Beyond the search for justice, I’m glad to see the community supporting the Ford family. It shows there’s still kindness and solidarity out there, even in the darkest times. Holding onto hope that justice is fully served and that the family finds some peace.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact Cierra Ford had on her community and her friends at Clark Atlanta University. It’s gut-wrenching to see someone so full of promise and positivity have their life cut short in such a senseless way. Cierra wasn't just a student; she was a leader with a vision to inspire and inform through journalism. I can't help but wonder about the systemic issues that allowed this tragedy to happen. Gang violence is a huge problem, not just in Atlanta but across the country, and it disproportionately affects communities of color. Cierra’s story should be a wake-up call about the urgent need for more resources and interventions that address the root causes of gang involvement. Her brother Clarence is right—education is a powerful tool in fighting poverty and recidivism. I hope we all can rally to support initiatives that aim to create opportunities for young people, steering them away from dangerous paths. If anyone knows of any community events or scholarships being set up in Cierra's honor, please share. It would be wonderful to see her legacy continue through efforts that reflect her passion for communication and education. Holding her family and friends in my thoughts. ?️ Stay safe, everyone.
