I’ve been thinking about the role of the community in cases like Johnny James Jackson’s. It’s so tragic when someone who’s well-respected and known is taken away like this. It makes you realize how connected everyone is in a small town like Twin City. I can’t even imagine how the neighborhood feels right now—probably a mix of fear and sadness. What can we do as a community to help prevent these kinds of tragedies? Sometimes it feels like we’re too focused on relying solely on law enforcement, but maybe there's more we can do together. Whether it's neighborhood watch programs or just being more vigilant and aware, I feel like communities have a role to play in both prevention and support for one another. Thoughts?
