I’ve been following the case of Ezekial Jonah Smith, and I can't even begin to fathom what his family is going through. They’ve lost such a bright young man, all over something so trivial as a dispute over a football. It's especially chilling to learn that Robert Jennings left the scene, only to return and escalate the situation further. This wasn’t just a split-second decision; it involved some level of premeditation to come back and confront the teens again. It makes me wonder what was going through his mind during that time away. I think it's a clear indication that this tragedy could have been avoided had Jennings chosen differently during those moments away from the initial confrontation. My heart really goes out to Ezekial's family, especially his younger brother, who must carry the burden of these memories. How does a community even begin to heal from something like this?
