Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Dominic Perry and Anthony Tarbert's case lately, and I can't shake this feeling of frustration with how much the community is hurting. I came across an interview with Dominic's coach from his youth basketball team; he spoke so warmly about Dominic's kindness and potential. It got me thinking about all the futures lost due to this senseless violence.
Dominic was more than just another statistic—he was a son, a friend, and an inspiration to the younger kids who looked up to him. The vigils held in their honor were a beautiful gesture, but we need more proactive steps to ensure their legacy leads to real change. I really wish the authorities would prioritize these unsolved cases more, and it breaks my heart knowing there hasn't been significant progress even a year on.
Have any of you in the Baltimore area noticed any positive community efforts or movements since this tragedy? Anything we, as outsiders, can support to amplify the call for justice? Let’s keep the conversation going and show that Dominic and Anthony are not forgotten.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Dominic Perry’s case, and I wanted to talk about the vigils that were held for Dominic and his friend Anthony Tarbert. It's really touching to see the neighborhood come together in such a powerful way, despite the overwhelming grief. Some of the videos and photos from the vigils were heartbreaking; you could truly feel the love and sadness in the air. These young men were obviously cherished by their community. It feels bittersweet, though. While the vigils provided a space for healing and solidarity, the fact that they are necessary at all is so devastating.
It’s just so important that we keep holding these gatherings not just to remember Dominic and Anthony, but to keep the conversation going about what needs to change. The more we talk about their lives and the impact of losing them, the harder it is for the system to just move on without addressing the causes. My heart goes out to all their family members and friends who continue to bear this loss every day. Let's not let Dominic's story fade into the background; he deserves justice and so much more. If anyone has updates or remembers any small details from that night, sharing could really help push this case forward.
