Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the situation in Baltimore back in 2011, especially the tragic loss of Kennard William Hailey. What’s really sticking with me, though, is how his murder was just one of many during that turbulent time. It feels like Hailey’s case is a stark example of how these incidents didn’t just affect individual families, but entire communities. You can really sense the frustration and heartbreak for those living in neighborhoods where this kind of violence seems like an everyday occurrence.
I wonder, does anyone know if there were any community meetings or initiatives around that period aiming to address the violence? It seems like there could have been such a strong drive to try and stop the cycle of violence – but did it help at all? I really feel for the family and friends who had to deal with such a personal loss amidst all the chaos.
Appreciate any insights you all might have.
Stay safe.
