I’ve been following the case of Denarrius Johnson and Steven Freeman, and one detail that’s really been bothering me is the timing of the shooting. It happened around noon on Cannon Street, in broad daylight. It's unsettling to think that such a brutal crime occurred when people were likely out and about, going about their daily routines. The fact that someone could do something so horrific in the middle of the day speaks to a complete disregard for human life and safety in their community. My heart goes out to Denarrius and Steven’s families as well as the other individual who was injured. I can’t imagine the pain they are feeling right now. It’s so important for their sake that justice is served. I hope that the prompt action by the authorities is a step towards finding some sort of resolution for everyone involved.
