Has anyone else been deeply affected by the impact this case has had on the child, DeAngelo? It's so unsettling to think about how he witnessed such a traumatic event at such a young age. Children are resilient, but the emotional toll of experiencing something like this is unimaginable. I hope he's surrounded by loving, supportive people to help him process everything that's happened. I also think about Selenia's dream of working with families during their hardest times. It seems fitting that she had a gentle nature, particularly with children. In part, my heart goes out to her family—they sound like they were such a tight-knit, loving unit. I'm holding out hope that Selenia’s family finds the strength and peace they need to move forward and that the community steps up to support DeAngelo in rebuilding his life beyond this tragedy.
