I've been following Allen Lewis's case closely, and something that really stands out to me is the lack of information about why he was in the East Lake district at that time. It's so puzzling because, from what I've read, he had no known connections to that neighborhood. I can't help but wonder if there was something—an appointment or meeting—that brought him there that night. It must be incredibly frustrating and painful for his family and friends to not have these answers. The uncertainty about his movements and the lack of immediate suspects must be adding to their grief. I truly hope that someone comes forward with any small detail that could help piece together his last moments. Given the struggles with violent crime Oakland was facing at the time, cases like this one really highlight the need for communities to come together and support each other—and to help provide justice for victims like Allen.
