I've been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy must have had on Nayeli's family and friends. It's just so unfair to lose someone in such a violent way, especially when she was trying to move forward in her life. I've read that Nayeli was really close to her sister, and I just can't imagine what that loss feels like. I hope that her loved ones are finding some comfort and support from their community during this incredibly difficult time. The fact that domestic violence can escalate to this level really highlights the importance of having resources available for people who are in similar situations. Peace to all affected by this senseless act.
