I keep thinking about Lajasmar's family and the unimaginable pain they must be going through, especially knowing that they won't get the closure that comes with a trial. It must be so difficult to accept that the answers they need might never come because the person responsible for this tragedy is no longer here to explain his actions. I can't imagine the frustration and sorrow they feel, but I hope they have a strong support system around them. I noticed that there's been a lot of community gatherings and vigils held in honor of Lajasmar, which is truly touching. It's comforting to see people coming together to remember her and to raise awareness about the impact of gun violence. It reminds us all of the importance of supporting one another and advocating for change in our communities. If there's any good that can come from such a devastating loss, it's in the unity and strength that her loved ones, and the wider community, can find together.
