In many ways, Chris was much more than a coach; he was a father figure, offering guidance outside the basketball court on life challenges. Thinking about the ripple effects of his absence, it’s hard not to get emotional. It seems his murder snatched away a future he was still building with these kids. My heart goes out to his family and friends and to all those young people who looked up to him. I hope the justice system honors Chris’s legacy by holding the responsible parties accountable.
