I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragic loss of Semaj Jameer Jones and Chris Weaver. I can't stop thinking about Semaj and how his bright future was so suddenly taken away. What sticks with me is the raw impact this has had on the community, especially the way neighbors in Edgewood came together afterwards. The resilience of this neighborhood in the face of such tragedy is remarkable. Something that really bothers me is how this case still hasn’t found closure. The fact that Alfred White, the alleged shooter, died before any concrete answers were found leaves so many questions unanswered, and I can't imagine how frustrating this has to be for the families involved. If White was the person responsible, why did he do it? What was the connection? It's tough not knowing why this beautiful soul, along with Chris, was taken from us. My heart really goes out to Semaj’s family and friends. From what I’ve read and heard, Semaj was so loved by many and had a unique way of brightening up the day for people he interacted with. Reading Semaj’s teacher talking about those daily greetings made me think about how those little moments can mean so much. It's just all so senseless. I keep hoping that somehow, some way, the truth of what happened that day will emerge, and the families can get some semblance of peace. Just felt I needed to share that. Stay strong, everyone.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the devastating loss of Semaj Jameer Jones and how the community has responded. What’s really been on my mind is how local residents have been handling the aftermath of the shooting. I read that the neighborhood was rattled not just by the loss of life, but also by the physical remnants of violence, like bullet holes in homes. It's truly scary and unsettling for anyone to feel unsafe in their own community. I can’t imagine how tough it must be for Semaj’s family and friends to drive past that area, knowing what happened. This kind of trauma doesn't just disappear. It's a daily reminder of the evil that took away a young, promising life. My heart goes out to everyone affected, and I'm hopeful that continued support and solidarity can bring some peace to the Edgewood neighborhood. Stay strong, everyone. Love and healing to all who are hurting.
