Have any of you come across details about the type of boat Vendrick and Shawkey were on, the *Odyssey*? It's a 23-foot vessel, which isn't massive, so I assume it might not have had sophisticated navigational equipment or any kind of advanced tracking system. This makes me wonder how easy it would have been for Shawkey to manipulate the situation out there on open water. I’m curious about whether there were any sightings of them on the water between February 15 and February 19, 2008. Given that Shawkey was known to have come back alone, did anyone notice the boat out there with just one person on board during that period? It seems odd that no one might have seen anything given the area and timeframe. Thoughts?
