Has anyone been following up on the Leon Lincoln Thorton III case from 2012? It's really frustrating and sad to see how many young lives have been lost to violence in Baltimore, and it seems like this case is just sitting there without any justice. I’ve been reading a lot about the challenges law enforcement faced during that time, especially with community cooperation. It’s like people are scared to come forward, and I can't even imagine the pain Leon's family must be feeling without any closure. Is there anyone from the area who can shed some light on why people are so reluctant to speak up? It’s just so frustrating that these cases go cold because of a lack of cooperation. Maybe if more people were willing to share what they know, justice could finally be served.
Hey everyone,
I've been following Leon Lincoln Thorton III's case, and it's been on my mind a lot lately. It's truly unsettling that this bright young life was taken on Pall Mall Road, an area I know has its struggles. What I can't wrap my head around is how, despite this tragic event being part of a spate of violence back in 2012, there’s been so little progress in terms of justice for Leon.
I can only imagine the pain his family and friends have been enduring all these years, waiting for answers and some form of closure. It's shameful that community cooperation has been weak, but I think we should also consider the fear and distrust that people might feel towards speaking up.
It just makes me wonder, what can be done to change the narrative and build a stronger collaboration between the police and the community in such sensitive cases? Leon and others like him deserve justice, and it feels like there's got to be a way to break this cycle. Would love to hear what you all think or if there are any updates I might have missed.
Sending thoughts to Leon’s family ?
Stay safe, everyone.
