I've been thinking about Dominique Wisdom's case a lot lately. It's just so awful to imagine what his family is going through. Losing both Dominique and his older brother Jeremy to gun violence in the same year is unimaginable. It makes me wonder about the impact these tragedies have on their community, and if there are any efforts to provide support for families like theirs who've been through similar losses. It's reassuring to know that the police acted quickly and have charged someone in connection with Dominique's death. But beyond the legal proceedings, I hope the community can come together to address the root causes of gun violence that are tearing families apart. A lot of people say "it takes a village"—and in this case, it definitely feels like it does. I can't help but think about how the Wisdom family, along with others who have suffered similar losses, truly need both justice and healing.

Has anyone else been following the case of Dominique Wisdom? My heart goes out to his family, especially with the unimaginable grief of losing two sons in such a short span of time. I can't even begin to fathom what they're going through. I was reading about Eric Shorter's arrest and I hope it leads to some justice for Dominique. It's shocking how pervasive gun violence has become in Columbus, and it's almost like every time I read the news, there’s another family left broken. While it's a small relief that there’s been an arrest, I’m really hoping the investigation doesn’t stall. There’s still so much more to do to tackle the root causes of this violence, and we owe it to Dominique and Jeremy to make our community a safer place. Anyone have any thoughts on what more could be done to support families like the Wisdoms or to help curb the violence?
