I wanted to bring attention to the incredible resilience of Phillip Smith, Billy's brother. It's unimaginable what he has gone through, not just surviving that horrible event physically but also dealing with the trauma and the loss of his brother. Witnessing such a tragic event firsthand and then having to carry on with life must weigh heavily on him. From what I've read, Phillip is a strong person, and the fact that he has spoken to the police and continues to cooperate in every way possible shows how determined he is to help solve this case for Billy’s sake. I hope he’s receiving all the support he needs from friends and family. If anyone hears updates or has ways to support both Phillip and the investigation, please share. This family deserves peace and resolution.
Did anyone else notice the odd behavior of the suspect before the shooting in the Dollar General surveillance video? It's chilling to think that the individual seemed to be just casually wandering around the store before committing such a horrible act. I can't even begin to fathom what Billy's family is going through now, especially knowing that the person responsible is still out there.
The fact that this incident seemed so random and unprovoked makes it even more disturbing. I'm hoping that the store's footage and any tips from the public can provide some breakthrough for the investigators. It must be so frustrating for his family to wait for answers without any clear leads. Keeping them in my thoughts and hoping justice is served soon.
