Has anyone else been thinking about the role the community played in getting justice for Patricia? It's incredibly sad to see something like this happen in our neighborhoods, but I have to say, the way folks rallied around her story really touched me. From the vigils to the outreach for her family, it's clear she was really loved and that sense of unity made a difference, not just in finding the truth, but also in supporting each other through such a difficult time. I hope her family feels that they aren’t alone in this. What are your thoughts on communities coming together in the aftermath of such senseless violence? ❤️

I’ve been following Patricia Gamboa’s case since the beginning, and the news of Jeremiah Waller Jr.’s guilty plea definitely stirred up a lot of emotions. But something that's often overlooked in these discussions is the impact on Patricia’s family and friends. Can you imagine the rollercoaster of emotions they’ve endured, from hope during the investigation to grief and finally settling into this new reality after the plea? I read an interview with one of Patricia's close friends, and it really put things into perspective. She spoke about Patricia’s dreams and plans for the future, like how excited she was about becoming a mother. It was a side of Patricia we didn’t hear much about in the media, a reminder of the real person and life that was taken away. It’s so important that we remember Patricia for who she was, not just as a victim. Thoughts and love to everyone who loved her. Keep talking about her, share her stories—she deserves to be remembered. ?️

I was thinking about how the timing of all this played out, particularly Waller's plea on the eve of the trial. I can't even begin to imagine the emotional rollercoaster Patricia's family must have gone through, gearing up for a trial only to have it end with a guilty plea. While it spared them from the trauma of reliving that night in a courtroom setting, it’s still such a shame that they had to wait over two years for any semblance of closure. It’s a reminder of how lengthy and grueling the legal process can be. I'm glad there's now accountability for the tragic loss of Patricia and her unborn child. This outcome might help the family start healing, but I hope the community continues to keep Patricia's memory alive and supports her loved ones in the days ahead.
