I've been following the case of Norval Brewstar Bailey closely, and I can't stop thinking about his family and what they must have gone through over these past years. It's hard to imagine the heartbreak and frustration they must have felt, waiting for justice to be served. I keep thinking about the day Donald Bannister was finally arrested and how that moment must have felt like a bittersweet mix of relief and pain for them. I truly hope that the plea deal, as difficult as it must have been to accept, provides some sense of closure for Norval's loved ones. They’ve been through so much, and it’s important that they have support and compassion from their community and anyone following this case. Let's remember Norval not just for the tragedy that befell him, but for the person he was beyond this senseless act of violence.
My heart really goes out to the Bailey family and friends. It's so unimaginable to lose someone in such a violent way. I was going through some of the recent news coverage and couldn't help but wonder about the plea deal for Bannister. I know it's common in cases like this, but does anyone else feel conflicted about the plea to voluntary manslaughter? On one hand, it seems like it might offer some sort of closure, but on the other, it feels like maybe justice wasn't fully served? I just can't shake the feeling that Norval deserved more. Would love to hear others' thoughts on how these plea deals work and what they might mean for the healing process for the family.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the community's response to Norval Brewstar Bailey's tragic death. It seems like so many people came together in a show of solidarity after the incident. There were several vigils and community meetings where people spoke openly about how gang violence has impacted their lives. I've seen this kind of support be really crucial for healing in other cases too. However, it’s frustrating to know that despite these efforts, gang violence continues to be such a pervasive issue.
Anyone here involved in or aware of any ongoing community initiatives in Marietta? It's heartening to know that even in such dark times, people are coming together to try to make a difference. I'd love to hear more about any grassroots actions that have been sparked by this tragedy.
Justice for Norval always. Let's keep him and his dreams alive through positive actions.
Stay safe, everyone.
