Has anyone else been thinking about the community vigil held for Anthony "Teeno" Flowers last year? I was in the crowd, surrounded by people who loved and respected him so much. The whole atmosphere was filled with warmth and sorrow, yet also an undeniable sense of unity. Seeing so many come together to pay their respects made it so clear how much of an impact he had on those around him. Even though I didn't know him personally, hearing everyone share their stories and memories was deeply moving. It's such a harsh reminder of the senseless violence that continues to plague our community. We have to keep pushing for change—Teeno's life was a reminder of that. I really hope that justice is served soon for him and his family. They deserve peace and closure, and so does the community.
