I came across this case recently and felt such a profound sense of sadness for Javoris "Duke" Scott’s family and community. One aspect that really stood out to me was the community's role in his life and how they've been coping. It's clear that Duke was well-loved and had a strong support network through the Shechinah Worship Center and beyond. I can only imagine how his loss has left a significant void for those who knew him personally. Attending a Home Going Celebration on October 10 shows just how much he meant to everyone. It must be incredibly difficult to find peace and understanding after such a sudden and tragic loss. I really hope the community continues to rally around his children and family during this horrific time and that they find the support they need to navigate through this period of grief. If anyone has more insights on how Javoris's community has been impacted, I would be interested in hearing.
