I've been following this case closely, and my heart goes out to Ashley Schutza's friends and family. It's unimaginable what they must be going through. I read that Ashley had such a giving spirit, evident in her dedication to her work at Athens Eye Doctors and her background in funeral services. It takes a special kind of person to excel in those fields, someone who's compassionate and genuinely cares about others. It's so difficult to comprehend how something this horrific could happen within a family. Does anyone know if there were signs of tension or issues previously, or if this was completely out of the blue? The whole situation is just so tragic, especially knowing that two kids were there. I can’t imagine how deeply impacted they must be. Keeping everyone involved in my thoughts.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy must have had on Ashley Schutza's coworkers at Athens Eye Doctors and Surgeons. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to go back to work and not have her there anymore. She was such a dedicated surgical technician, and from everything I've heard, she brought a lot of light and compassion to her role there. Her colleagues must feel a huge void without her, not just in their day-to-day operations but in their lives overall. It’s devastating that someone so caring and committed to helping others was taken in such a violent way. My thoughts are with all those who knew her and worked alongside her every day. I hope they can find some peace and continue to honor her memory.
It's incredibly upsetting to think about the two young children who were in the home during such a horrific event. Being there when something so violent and traumatic happened must have been terrifying for them. I can only hope that they are receiving the support and care they need to heal from this experience. Knowing the aftermath of such a situation is difficult, especially when the perpetrator is a family member. I can't imagine the strain this has placed on all who loved Ashley and Benjamin, nor the confusion and pain these kids will have to process. If anyone knows of resources or ways to help, please share. The extended family and community are undoubtedly feeling this loss, and any support we can offer seems crucial right now.
