Hey everyone, I haven't seen much discussion about DeRoderick Collins, the bystander injured in the tragic shootout involving Roderick Felton and Braxton Cole. While most focus has rightly been on Roderick's and Braxton’s deaths, I think it’s important to remember that DeRoderick's life was also affected that night. Though he was in stable condition after being hospitalized, the emotional and psychological impact of being caught in the crossfire must be immense. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma of being an unintended victim in such a horrifying event. It makes you think about how these incidents ripple through communities, affecting even those who have no direct link to the conflict. My thoughts are with DeRoderick and his family as he recovers. It's just another stark reminder of how gun violence reaches far beyond the people directly involved. Maybe DeRoderick’s story will drive further attention to how we might protect innocent bystanders in this ongoing struggle against violence. If anyone has updates on his recovery or any initiatives being taken to support him, please feel free to share.
