Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Ernest Curtis, and I just can't shake how vulnerable senior citizens are in these housing complexes. It's unsettling to think that someone would target an 86-year-old in what should be a safe environment. I read somewhere that senior apartments like the one on West Belvedere Avenue are often understaffed, which might mean less security presence. Could it be that someone from outside the complex was aware of this and took advantage of the situation? Or perhaps, was it someone familiar with the routines and movements within? The lack of leads is frustrating, especially for Ernest’s family and friends who deserve answers and justice. I'm curious about the security measures in place back then—were there cameras, regular patrols, or any emergency alert systems? Hopefully, these facilities have improved security since 2013. Let’s continue discussing ways to help protect our older loved ones. They deserve peace and safety as they’ve given to us throughout their lives. Stay safe, everyone.
