Has anyone else been struck by how dedicated Bjorn Svenson was to his job? It’s incredibly upsetting to think about how his life, and everything he had been working for, was taken away so cruelly. I read that he was respected by his colleagues and truly believed in helping people rehabilitate. It’s tough to grasp how someone who devoted his life to trying to make the community safer ended up being a victim in such a senseless and violent way. I hope his family knows how admired he was and that his efforts didn’t go unnoticed. It feels like there are no easy answers, but it’s heartening to see the changes being made to protect officers in the future. Still, so much pain for his family, friends, and colleagues. Let’s never forget his commitment.
