It's still so hard to fathom the horror that Emad Mohamiad Al-Tawakuly and his friends faced that day at the Publix in Palm Bay. I read about Emad's story, and it's just unimaginable. He was an 18-year-old student with his whole life ahead of him, visiting Florida, probably excited about the opportunities and experiences awaiting him. The randomness and cruelty of William Cruse's actions are devastating. Emad and Nabil were just shopping, something we all do without a second thought, and they found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s a stark reminder of how fragile life is and how precious each moment can be. Does anyone know if Emad's family ever spoke about the impact this had on them? I can't even begin to understand the pain they must have endured and, perhaps, continue to endure. Sending love to all the victims’ families as they remember their loved ones and try to find some peace after such a senseless tragedy.
