Harold Martin, a 20-year-old Black man from Baltimore, was fatally shot the evening of November 19, 2013, on the 2400 block of Lauretta Avenue in West Baltimore. Police were dispatched around 7:40 p.m.; officers found him suffering multiple gunshot wounds and he was taken to a hospital where he died shortly after.

Homicide detectives worked the scene that night trying to establish who had been present, what provoked the shooting, and where the shooter went when the shots stopped. Subsequent listings of Baltimore’s 2013 homicides note Martin’s death but record limited reporting about the circumstances.
