Does anyone know more about the impact this has had on the local sports community in Palmetto? Willie Lee Jones Jr. had such a strong connection to sports just like his namesake, and I can only imagine the ripple effect his passing has had on those he interacted with. It's just so sad to think about how much he had to offer and how many young athletes he could have inspired. Has there been any talk of a memorial game or event in his honor? It seems like celebrating his life in this way would be a fitting tribute given his love for the game. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. If anyone has updates or info on this, please share.
