I can't stop thinking about Jermaine Coleman's case. It's just so frustrating and sad that yet another family has to go through this. The area where it happened, Kavon and Shamrock, unfortunately isn't unfamiliar with these kinds of incidents. It makes me wonder if the community feels neglected or if it's all normalized by now. Crime seems to thrive when there's a lack of job opportunities and resources, doesn't it? Maybe addressing those root causes could lead to real change. I sincerely hope Jermaine’s family finds some answers and peace soon. Anyone from Baltimore here who can share their thoughts or experiences about how things have been since then?

It's truly devastating to hear about what happened to Jermaine Coleman. I can't help but think about the fear and insecurity his community must have felt, especially in a year like 2014, which was so plagued with violence. I keep wondering what factors lead to such abrupt acts of violence and why people like Jermaine end up as victims. It seems like so many people were caught in the crossfire of circumstances — gang activity, systemic poverty, and more. I don't know if it was related to any of these issues in his case, but it's terrifying to think about how many lives were changed forever by such senseless acts. My thoughts are with Jermaine's family and friends who have to carry on amidst such unresolved tragedy. It's a stark reminder of how much change is needed in cities struggling like Baltimore was (and often still is).
