I’ve been following Rolando Valencia's case, and I can’t stop thinking about the role of the neighbors that night. It's truly unsettling to imagine hearing gunshots and knowing something terrible just happened nearby. Those poor people probably never imagined they'd have to deal with such a traumatic event in their own community. Their quick response in calling the police likely played a pivotal role in apprehending Carl Ezekiel Woods so swiftly. It must have been a horrifying experience for them, and I hope they received the support they needed. It's amazing how a concerned community can come together in moments of crisis. My heart goes out to Rolando’s family, who had to endure such a devastating loss.
I can't shake off the thought of what Rolando Valencia's neighbors must have gone through on that night.
