It’s important for us to remember the signs of domestic abuse and take them seriously. Maybe if more awareness and protection measures were in place, situations like this could be prevented. It’s so important to acknowledge their bravery, as they were placed in a life-or-death situation without any warning. The trauma they must be dealing with is profound, and I hope they are receiving the support they need to heal. My thoughts are with them, and of course, Aquilina’s family during this incredibly challenging time.
