Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Monique Manley in Miami? I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this has had on her kids. It's just so hard to imagine them having to escape through a back window, knowing something awful happened outside the door. This awful incident highlights the vulnerability of children growing up in neighborhoods plagued by violence. I can only hope that they’re getting the support they need from family and the community.
It's beyond frustrating that there haven't been any arrests. I think of those kids and how they deserve to know that justice has been served for their mom. It’s crucial for people in the community to come forward if they know anything. Staying silent only lets the perpetrators continue to walk free. Her family deserves closure. I hope Monique’s story continues to garner attention so justice can finally be served.
