I can't stop thinking about the bravery it must have taken for Timesha, Diona, and their friends to stand up and try to evict Bodden from their apartment. It's such a difficult and courageous thing to do, especially when you're young and just trying to focus on your studies and future. I can't imagine the fear they must have felt living with someone who was clearly dangerous, yet they still took steps to reclaim their own space. Timesha's dreams and determination to become an opera singer make this even more tragic. To be snuffed out just as your life is beginning to unfold feels so unfair. My heart sincerely goes out to their families, who must carry this immense loss every single day. They truly deserved so much more. ❤️
Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Timesha Carswell and Diona McDonald, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on their peers at Bethune-Cookman University. I read that Timesha was really passionate about music and had dreams of becoming an opera singer. It's just so hard to think about all the potential lost, not just for her, but for the whole community of students who looked up to her.
Imagine being a fellow student—walking into your music class, knowing you're missing not just a friend but someone who brought life and energy to every practice session. It's tough, you know? I hope the university is providing support for her classmates and friends who must be going through an incredibly difficult time. Music isn't just about notes and techniques; it’s about community and connection, and that’s something Timesha seemed to embody.
Sending my thoughts to all those who knew Timesha and Diona. It's important we remember them for how they lived and the dreams they pursued, not just the tragedy of their loss.
Has anyone else been deeply disturbed by how the legal system in this case essentially ended with Bodden's suicide? I mean, it just feels so unsatisfying that Timesha and Diona's families, and even Micah, didn't get their day in court. It's like they were robbed of the chance to confront the person responsible and seek justice in a more complete way.
I get that the case was closed since Bodden was the sole suspect, but shouldn't there have been more support for the victims' families, like some sort of formal acknowledgment or follow-up to help them process everything? The abrupt end to the legal proceedings must have left them feeling bewildered and without closure. My heart really goes out to those mourning and searching for a way to cope with this immense loss. What are your thoughts on the justice system in situations like this?
