I've been following Kayla Freeland's case closely and can't stop thinking about how active she was in her community, especially her involvement with the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department Explorer Post. It's so inspiring that someone so young was already giving back and making such a positive impact. It's just so unspeakably tragic that her life was taken so abruptly. I hope the investigators are considering everything, including any potential connections she might have through her community work. It feels like those who give so much should be free from harm, but sadly that's not always the case. Kayla’s legacy in Jacksonville is such a strong reminder of how involved and compassionate she was. For her family's sake, I sincerely hope justice is served soon.
