I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline of Matthew Rozario’s disappearance and one thing keeps puzzling me: the area where his remains were ultimately found. It's a wooded area near the initial spot where he left the car, but if you look at the details, it’s still quite a distance from the freeway. I wonder if anyone has looked into whether he might have taken a particular trail or path that led him there, something that wasn't obvious during initial searches.
Considering Matthew was distraught and possibly under the influence, he might have been disoriented. I think back to stories where people, particularly those in a confused mental state, end up taking routes that seem illogical. Could there have been a reason he ended up by that pond? Perhaps an old hang-out spot or something he remembered from before that drew him to that area? Just throwing out these thoughts to see if anyone else can piece something together about his last movements that morning.
Has anyone looked into the weather conditions around December 24, 2016, near Mount Vernon? I remember that winter being particularly harsh. If Matthew was under the influence and wandered into the woods alone, the cold temperatures could have been a dangerous factor. I'm curious if local weather records from that day support the theory of exposure. It just seems like understanding the environment he was last seen in might provide more context to what sadly happened to him.
