It's really tough hearing Jared's story and knowing how much it affected not just his family, but the entire community in Miami Gardens. I'm especially thinking about his mom, Janet, and the fact that Jared was about to be a father himself. It's such a heavy burden for a family to bear, losing a son right when he was about to start this new chapter of life. I can't imagine the pain she's going through, knowing her grandchild will grow up without ever meeting their dad. What's been on my mind is how these incidents escalate so quickly. It seemed like just another day, and then everything changed in the blink of an eye. Places like gas stations are part of our everyday routines. It’s unsettling to think they're not as safe as we assume. Do you all think there’s something that can be done to prevent these altercations from turning deadly so fast? More security measures or even community programs to address handling conflict could be crucial. Just my thoughts, interested to hear what you guys think.
