I've been thinking a lot about the role of forensic evidence in bringing Edward Seymour's killer to justice. It's so unsettling to know that Miquell Simmons could have continued roaming free if detectives hadn't managed to find those fingerprints on the car window. I can't imagine the relief that must have come with that breakthrough for both Edward's and Von-Tavius's families. It makes me really appreciate the meticulous work of crime scene investigators—sometimes it's easy to forget how a small piece of evidence can completely change the course of an investigation. I'm hopeful that these kinds of techniques will continue to improve and help prevent other families from going through such unimaginable pain. Sending positive vibes to everyone who was affected by this senseless tragedy.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact this case had on the local community and the importance of community support when confronting such tragedies. Even if we didn't know Edward Seymour or Von-Tavius Sands personally, the news of their senseless deaths has touched many lives. This brutal incident painfully reminds us of the dangers that can exist right outside our doorsteps. What struck me most about this case was how it seemed to shake the sense of safety for residents in Southwest Miami-Dade. It's terrifying to think about how quickly a normal day can turn into a nightmare. I hope the conviction of Miquell Simmons provides some measure of peace for the families affected, though I know that won't bring their loved ones back. Let’s continue to support each other and advocate for safer communities, in honor of Edward and Von-Tavius. They deserve to be remembered not just for how they died, but for the lives they lived and the people who loved them. Has anyone here been involved in any local initiatives or memorials in their names? I'd love to hear more about how we can continue to make a positive difference.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the witness who was left unharmed in the Cadillac during the attack that took Edward Seymour’s life back in 2016. It must have been terrifying beyond words to be in that situation, seeing a friend lost so tragically in an instant. I can only imagine the survivor's courage, having to relive that moment during police interviews and the trial. It’s horrifying to think what a random evening with friends can turn into. I hope they've found a way to start healing after such trauma. Does anyone know if they received any support or counseling from the community or victim services? It's important they don’t feel forgotten amidst all the legal proceedings. My thoughts are with them, Edward, and Von-Tavius's loved ones.
