Has anyone looked into the role of jailhouse communications in Jonathan Brenton's case? I was reading how the investigation benefitted from recorded calls from McCray while he was in custody. It makes me wonder how often these types of conversations lead to crucial breakthroughs. It’s absolutely gut-wrenching to think that Jonathan’s life was taken simply because someone was so desperate to avoid consequences. But if these calls hadn’t been tracked, would the police have figured out what happened as quickly? It's reassuring to know that sometimes technology can play a part in delivering justice, even if it's in such tragic circumstances. My heart goes out to Jonathan’s family during this unimaginably difficult time. I hope that knowing McCray and the others are being held accountable offers them some solace.
