Did anyone else find it odd that one of the key suspects in Roland Von Whitaker's case had such a significant criminal history, yet was still on the streets? It makes me wonder about the gaps in our justice system that allow repeat offenders to remain at large. Seriously, how many times do things like this need to happen before changes are made? It must be incredibly frustrating and painful for the victim's family to know that someone with a track record of violence was able to continue endangering others. I can’t even imagine the heartache they’ve had to endure, especially with how lengthy and public the investigation became. I hope this case at least prompts a reevaluation of how high-risk individuals are monitored and that it may prevent future tragedies from occurring. What do you all think? Should there be stricter measures in place?
