I've been thinking a lot about how the gaming community is coping in the aftermath of what happened to Cortney Lowery Jr. and Isaiah Burkett-Hyndman. As a gamer myself, it's terrifying to think that a place where we come together with friends to enjoy, compete, and relax could become the setting for something so horrific. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma Abiade Granger must face in recovering from his injuries while also dealing with the emotional scars of the incident. It’s deeply unsettling to see how quickly things turned that day, and it’s clear the shockwaves will be felt for a long time. If there's anything positive that can come from this, I hope it’s a heightened sense of awareness and support within our community to look out for one another. My thoughts are with the families, and I hope they find some solace in the justice served, though I know it can never truly mend the loss.
